Our Story
At Happy Bumble Bees, we're more than just a honey farm — we’re a family of passionate environmentalists, beekeepers, and nature lovers dedicated to making a positive impact on our planet. Our story began in 2022, when Hi-D Bridges, inspired by a deep love for the environment and concern for the declining pollinator population, decided to turn her beekeeping hobby into a mission to protect and celebrate bees.
Growing up surrounded by the beauty of nature just a mile from where our apiary is today, Hi-D always had a curiosity about the natural world. Her parents fostered that love, and as she got older, she became increasingly worried about how the decline of pollinators like bees was affecting our ecosystems and food production.
When Hi-D and her husband moved back to Elbert, CO in 2021, she knew it was time to act. She dove into learning everything she could about bees, attending workshops, reading books, and connecting with other beekeepers in the Front Range community. The more she learned, the more fascinated she became by the incredible, intricate lives of bees and their crucial role as pollinators.
In 2022, after investing in equipment, taking beekeeping classes, and acquiring her first two hives, Happy Bumble Bees LLC was born. What started as a hobby quickly grew into something much more meaningful — a way to contribute to the health of our planet and local ecosystem. Over time, our small operation blossomed into a thriving business that not only produces high-quality, ethically harvested honey but also educates others on the importance of bees and sustainable beekeeping practices.
At the heart of what we do is a commitment to conservation. We’re dedicated to raising happy, healthy bees and sharing the joy of beekeeping with our community. Whether it's through our honey, our art, or our educational efforts, we’re passionate about making the world a better place — one bee at a time.
Our mission is simple: Pollinate the world with happiness!
We’d be honored to have you join our hive and be a part of this journey with us.
